Open where science needs it.
Research results should be checkable by anyone, and rerunnable without a license. So theModellum engine is open source. The desktop app is what we sell.
The engine and command line
The statistics, the language, the file readers, the graphs and the modellumcommand-line tool. Read the code, cite the version, run it on a cluster.
- Free for everyone, including companies using it internally
- Reproduce any published analysis without buying anything
- Modify it freely; share your changes if you distribute it or offer it as a network service
The desktop app
Data grid, dialogs that write the syntax for you, Explain mode with typeset math, interactive graphs, and the polish that turns an engine into a tool you'd use every day.
- Modellum's main source of income
- Yearly or perpetual licenses, from students to whole campuses
- See pricing
Commercial engine licenses
If you want to build the Modellum engine into a closed-source product or a hosted service without the AGPL's obligations (publishing your source code), we offer a commercial license instead. Typical cases: statistical features inside a SaaS analytics product, survey or clinical platforms, or an OEM bundle.
Write to sales@modellum.app with a sentence on what you're building.
Contributing
Contributions are welcome. Because the engine is offered under both the AGPL and commercial terms, contributors sign a short Contributor License Agreement that lets us include their work in both.
