Terms of sale and license

1. Who you're buying from

Modellum desktop licenses are sold by Modellum ("we"). Payments are processed by Stripe. Questions: support@modellum.app.

2. The engine

The Modellum engine and command-line tool are licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. These terms don't limit your rights under that license. Commercial engine licenses are agreed separately in writing.

3. Desktop app license

• Trial. You may evaluate the app for 30 days without paying.
• Grant. A license lets one named person use the app on the number of computers stated for the plan.
• Yearly licenses last for the period paid for and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• Perpetual licenses let you use the versions released during your 12-month update period indefinitely.
• Student and Academic licenses are for people who meet the eligibility rules on the pricing page, and for non-commercial teaching and research. Paid consulting or commercial work needs a Professional license.
• You may not resell, share, or publish license keys, or remove license checks from the app.

4. Prices, taxes and refunds

Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude taxes unless stated. If the app doesn't work for you, ask within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.

5. No warranty

We test Modellum carefully and publish how (see Validation), but the software is provided "as is". You're responsible for checking that results are suitable for your use. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

6. Changes

We may update these terms; the version in force when you bought applies to that purchase.
